The 14 th par 5 of 564 metres is a much talked about hole and the reasons are obvious once you have completed a round of golf here. A superb drive of 200 metres is required to reach the top of the fairway and a good second shot to reach the dogleg right before a short iron approach to the green can be attempted. Out-of-bound plays along the entire left side of the hole. Approach to the green also made difficult by undulating lie, bunkers guarding both sides of the green and the ever-present lake on the right. A par is generally considered a good score to post for this difficult hole.
Teeing off from the elevated 15 th hole par 4 of 366 metres is made difficult by the two lakes on the right and left, making it a confounding experience. The approach to the non-receptive green is tight with bunkers protecting both sides of the green.
Again, teeing off from an elevated tee, par 4 16th measuring 393 metres requires a long drive to carry to a flat portion of the fairway before approach to the green is made easier to this dogleg right hole.
Statistics has it that most balls are fished out of the "Amen Corner" holes than any others.
Having completed the "Amen Corner", you still have to tackle the 17 th hole par 3 of 160 metres. To find the green, you will require an accurate and precise shot. Three quarters of the green is surrounded by water and guarded by a bunker on the left.
The 18 th par 5 of 470 metres requires another good drive to reach the dogleg right fairway. From there, a good fairway wood shot before an approach to an elevated green well protected by bunkers is easy.
