History

Yayasan Sabah was established in 1966 by the Sabah Legislative Assembly to improve the standard of living and education for Malaysians in Sabah. The organization has since played a key role in the state’s socio-economic development. Initially funded through the forestry sector, Yayasan Sabah has diversified its revenue streams into agro-plantation, real estate, hospitality, eco-tourism, biotechnology, and transportation, aligning with Sabah’s “Halatuju” development direction focusing on agriculture, tourism, and manufacturing.

One of its subsidiaries, Inno Travel & Tour Services Sdn. Bhd. (ITTS), is a leading travel agency in Sabah with over 26 years of experience. Known for its professionalism and safety standards (certified OHSAS 18001:2007), ITTS operates one of the largest fleets of tour coaches and vans in the region. Under the brand Sabah Holidays, ITTS has earned multiple accolades, including Best Tour Operator in Sabah (2001) and Best Malaysian Tour Operator (2007).

ITTS also specializes in marine tourism through its own fleet of boats and operates Usukan Cove Lodge in Kota Belud, offering activities like snorkeling, diving, fishing, river cruises, and adventure tours.
